Contract Manager O&M – Offshore Wind Industry
We are currently looking for a commercially minded Contract Manager O&M to provide contractual support and ensure protection against risks. Would you like to work in the green offshore wind industry where your skills and expertise will help secure a sustainable future based on renewable energy? Then you might be the Contract Manager O&M we are looking for.
Cadeler is a global partner in offshore wind farm construction and maintenance, and we are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and in high demand. As our industry continues to grow, so do we!
We are currently looking for a commercially minded Contract Manager who will be able to provide contractual support and guidance to our sales team for active tenders, and our projects team concerning contracts that have reached their operational phase, ensuring that Cadeler is well protected from contractual risk and that its obligations are well understood across the business.
What will you do?
As our new Contract Manager in the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) unit, you will play a key role in securing and delivering our offshore service projects. You’ll work closely with our commercial team during tenders to draft, review, and negotiate client contracts, ensuring terms that are both competitive and protective of Cadeler’s interests. You’ll also support our project and technical teams during the operational phase, helping to manage contractual obligations and maintain strong client relationships throughout the life of each contract.
This role is key to safeguarding Cadeler’s commercial interests and supporting our long-term growth in the offshore wind O&M market.
Your main tasks will include:
- Providing contractual guidance to the commercial team and leading on contractual matters during bids, proposals, and negotiations, ensuring Cadeler’s O&M offerings are commercially attractive while safeguarding our contractual position.
- Coordinating closely with legal, insurance, finance, and tax teams on all aspects of an O&M proposal or contract before commitment.
- Mapping key contractual obligations after contract signature and supporting the project team in managing deliverables throughout the operational phase of Cadeler’s offshore wind projects.
- Promoting a high level of contractual awareness across the O&M organization, ensuring all relevant teams understand key terms and risks.
- Keeping up to date with developments in the offshore wind O&M market, including contractual trends and best practices.
- Supporting finance and project teams with accurate financial forecasting and business/cost control related to O&M projects.
- Assisting the wider Cadeler contract management team in implementing and improving contract lifecycle management tools and processes.
To succeed in this role:
Being part of the Cadeler community means you will have a natural interest and care for the environment and our shared mission to speed up the green energy transition. Environmental considerations and the safety of our people and the planet will be a key priority in your daily work.
We are looking for a solution-oriented person, with a flair for details. You will have strong time management skills and take pride in achieving the best solution under pressure. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy communicating and negotiating with various stakeholders.
We think you will be a good match if you have some or all of the following competencies:
- Strong experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex vessel, service/O&M or supply contracts, preferably within offshore wind.
- Solid understanding of contract law and commercial risk management principles, with the ability to balance risk and opportunity.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., technical, finance, legal, operations) in a fast-paced, project-driven environment.
- Proven ability to translate complex contractual terms into practical guidance for non-legal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with the offshore wind O&M market, including current contractual trends and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to identifying potential issues early.
- Comfortable managing multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality.
