Project Engineer O&M – Offshore Wind Industry
Are you driven by engineering excellence and practical problem-solving? Do you want to contribute directly to the global energy transition by shaping technical solutions in the offshore wind industry? Then this might be the role for you.
Cadeler is looking for a Project Engineer to join our growing Operations & Maintenance (O&M) team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and commercially viable engineering solutions that support Cadeler’s offshore O&M offerings. You will lead engineering efforts from concept development through to execution, working cross-functionally with commercial, project, and technical teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
This is a key role for positioning Cadeler as a technical frontrunner in offshore wind O&M services.
What will you do?
As our new Project Engineer within Operations & Maintenance, you will play a key role in shaping Cadeler’s technical offerings in the offshore wind O&M space. You’ll lead engineering development across concept, sales, and execution phases, ensuring that our solutions are innovative, safe, and aligned with client needs and operational realities.
Your main tasks include:
· Driving the development of robust engineering concepts and solutions for O&M services that balance safety, feasibility, and commercial impact.
· Working closely with commercial teams to prepare technical scopes, evaluate third-party solutions, and support compelling proposals tailored to client needs.
· Leading technical execution efforts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality engineering packages, method statements, and documentation in line with timelines and standards.
· Acting as a key point of contact with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and classification societies to ensure alignment across all technical interfaces and engineering disciplines.
· Continuously improving standards and processes by integrating lessons learned and driving forward engineering innovation to strengthen our market position.
To succeed in this role
Being part of the Cadeler community means you will have a natural interest and care for the environment and our shared mission to speed up the green energy transition. Your environmental considerations and the safety of our people and the planet will be a key priority in your daily work.
We are looking for a structured and forward-thinking profile with a passion for collaboration and technical leadership. The ideal candidate brings a commercial and safety-first mindset, being able to translate complex client needs into sustainable engineering solutions.
We think you will be a good match if you:

· Bring at least 8 years of technical experience in offshore construction, naval architecture, or marine/geotechnical engineering.
· Understand the offshore wind industry’s complexity, with proven experience developing technical solutions that are feasible, safe, and commercially competitive.
· Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to influence, motivate, and engage colleagues across functions and geographies.
· Are fluent in English, both written and verbal, and confident interacting with international clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
· Stay organized and structured, even when coordinating across multiple teams or working toward tight deadlines.
