Junior Project Engineer FOU - Offshore Wind Industry

Cadeler is a global partner in offshore wind farm construction and maintenance, and we are part of an industry that is now, more than ever, both relevant and in high demand. As our industry continues to grow, so do we! We are now looking for a Junior Project Engineer to help us develop comprehensive foundation project plans.
What will you do?
As a Junior Project Engineer, you will support the design of offshore foundation construction processes and assist in coordinating project plans with cross-functional teams, gaining hands-on experience in project execution.
Your main tasks include:
- Develop technical expertise for offshore construction methods and equipment, with regards to industry standards and project specifications
- Support and develop engineering design and feasibility studies for sailing, jacking and construction operations
- Engage with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to provide updates and address technical queries
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure personnel well-being and compliance with industry safety standards
- Support quality control to ensure construction projects meet high-quality standards, including maintaining accurate project records
- Oversee offshore equipment design, delivery and implementation, as well as serve as a liaison between the vessel crew and office teams
- Attend tests, mobilization and some offshore operations where relevant
- Monitor equipment delivery, performance, and deviations from project objectives
- Identify opportunities for improvements, optimizations, cost savings, and innovation in operations as well as equipment design and development
- Support the internal development of standards, methodologies, and documentation to improve overall Cadeler operations

You will take responsibility for assigned tasks while being supported by experienced colleagues who will help guide your development.
We think you will be a good match if you have some of the following competencies:
- 0-2 years of experience in offshore wind engineering or construction projects
- Academic degree in mechanical engineering, marine engineering, naval architecture, or a related field
- A strong interest in offshore construction engineering and/or jack-up vessel operations, with the motivation to develop technical expertise in these areas.
- Exposure to project management, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling
- Familiarity with relevant industry DNV/ISO standards, regulations, and safety requirements
